About the Author:
My path towards Sasang Medicine began at the young age of 12, when an obsession with Asian culture and philosophy took me to Japan. A short visit quickly turned into 8 years of living in Asia, where my calling as an Oriental Medical doctor slowly began to unfold. While living in South Korea, I enrolled in an internship program at Dunsan University Hospital in Daejeon. Soon after returning to the United States, I continued my studies in Oriental Medicine. As a student, I was infatuated with Oriental Medicine but could not get over my own chronic bouts of indigestion no matter which herbal approach I took. It wasn’t until I discovered my Yin Yang body type that I began a rewarding journey towards complete recovery. After 11 years of practice in West Linn, Oregon, and 6 years of teaching as a doctor of Oriental Medicine, I feel that it is now time to convey the power of Sasang Medicine, in an accessible, appealing way for those who are interested in enhancing their health.
